bid adieu--- to not knowing how to love,
you've shown me that,

bid adieu--- to not learning when to cry,
you've taught me that;

using your heart to spark
my growth within;
now I've found a friend, within
this chaotic world we're
living in--- and it's you.

bid adieu--- to no need to hid behind my smile,
you've open my inner glow,

bid adieu--- to the thoughts of feeling semi-empty
this life had come to know;

using the light of God
you possess within;
now I've found a friend, within
this hectic world we're
living in--- and it's you.

If our friendship ever deems
miles of distance in between,
if new careers enter our scenes,
and craft opportunities to grow between;

you'd have a special place in my heart,
and in my memories,
you'd hold an integral part
to the joys I'd recall.
