Mark Anthony Thomas brings heartbreak into the future with Where You Go When You Leave, a deeply personal journey through the collapse of love, the unraveling of an imagined life, and the painful, sometimes beautiful process of finding yourself again.

Moving through grief, anger, desire, loneliness, and the unexpected rediscovery of joy, the story explores what remains when love ends and the possibility of reclaiming yourself.

On Friday, October 23, at Graffiti Warehouse in Baltimore, Thomas transforms this journey into an immersive film set and live poetry performance, inviting audiences into the creative world of his forthcoming film, Leave.

The second installment of a poetic film trilogy that began with In Need of Seawater, Leave blends poetry, music, Afrofuturism, and emerging technology to reimagine heartbreak, recovery, and the future beyond loss. The film will be released in 2027.
